This was the truck I sold in order to buy the chevelle, It was a cool truck 307 motor, 4 speed with granny gear 1st, full cage rollbar. If you ever had the opportunity to own one you know they were a beast, and you know they are high maintenance, that I don’t miss .
My Father was a big influence to me and my brothers, he was into corvettes, anything fast. I once put a 327 with a turbo 350 in a 1977 pontiac sunbird, same chassis as a chevy vega, so it went pretty fast, I was warming it up and he came outside sat in the passenger seat and said “lets go” it was a cool ride with my Dad. He also had a 1966 caprice, I believe it had a 396 motor, for a tuna boat it would light the tires up no problem.
Here was two rare gems, the left was my 1972 Lemans Custom S (the S stands for Sport), it had a 350 c.i. motor with a turbo 350 auto. The right was my brothers 1972 Pontiac Ventura ll, 350 ci,turbo 350 auto, bucket seats, center console, stock ralley wheels, the same chassie as a Nova, so it was pretty fast. I think me and my brothers all owned this car at one time.
My Father also restored an old mahogany wood boat that he sanded down to the bare wood and revarnished it. The boat on the right was my brothers boat, it had the same labor and finish done to it.
After moving to California, my brother got us back on the water with a 1978 ford 351c.i. ski boat, vey fast, we spent many weekends on the water and in a sleeping bag. then in 1991 me and my brothers bought a brand new Mariah, 31 years later it still runs like new, best boat ever, see video below.
